Our Philosophy

The Swanky Bibliophiles was founded in May 2013 under the name Bibliophile Book Reviews. It was started as a way to try to level the playing field between traditionally published authors and self-published/indie authors. There is a common misconception that indie authors aren't talented, and we're here to tell you that that is a myth. Some of the best and most entertaining books I've read in recent years have been written by an indie author. In September 2013, we welcomed S. Donahue onboard and we have been working through our reading list ever since. In April 2014, we decided that we needed even more help with the overwhelming amount of book review requests we received so we brought on a talented team of book reviewers to help support the indie community! In February 2015, we expanded even further bringing in three more partners, Jessica, Katie and Kelly!

 

We have a firm belief of supporting indie authors, and not hindering their success. We always post honest reviews, but we will only publicly post positive reviews that rate 3 stars or higher. If you receive a rating below three stars, we will email you with our findings. We never post negative reviews. 

 

As fellow indie authors, we aim to support and encourage other indie authors to follow their dreams.
